  1. Are they coming to your home?

The last child that I had that transitioned to an adoptive family was such an experience. I was trying not to act possessive, but did not want them to think I was uncaring that the little guy was leaving. It ended up being one of the most beautiful things that I was involved in and they still send emails with pictures to this day.

Thinking about you and hope all goes well for you.

    Peace

  2. Yes, they are coming to our house. He does not do well in new social situations outside of the house. I pray to God I like them, other wise it is going to he hard to let him go. Did you give them time alone? Stay in the room with the whole time etc? They met with the case worker today, and went over his info. I am so nervous, and happy at the same time.

  3. I met my daughter at her foster family's house. The first meeting, we just talked the whole time and didn't do anything alone with her without them. That would have been weird for her and us. With my first son, some anonymous driver met us at a Burger King, handed us his bag, and said, "Here he is...see you Sunday." and that was it.

  5. I have been running around like a chicken with my head cut off, making sure my house is spotless. I hope they can see that we really love Lil' Man and want to be apart of his life. I am hoping this is the family for him, he deserves it.

  6. Don't worry so much about your house... Remember, they are going to be trying to impress you. On the 1st visit we just talked like Tiruba mentioned. I had the child in the room just playing and I gave them info on his daily schedule and what he liked to eat. I kept saying, 'But whatever you like he will learn to eat." cause I didn't want them to think my way was the only way. I would let Lil Man be able to move freely in and out of the room so he does not feel like he is on display.

    Peace
